Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be returning to training ahead of the club’s Community Shield game against Chelsea over the weekend.
The Wales international missed the open training session on Thursday, and this led to suggestions that he may have suffered an injury which could potentially keep him out of the Wembley showpiece on Sunday.
The Welshman has had his injury concerns over the years with his 2016/17 season being disrupted in the season opener against Liverpool where he suffered a hamstring problem. To add to the misery, he produced one of his worst performances against Watford in the second half of the campaign where his lack of mental awareness allowed the Hornets to bag two goals before being subbed halfway through the first period with an injury.
