Burnley FC earned their first victory of this season in the Premier League after a lonely goal from Ashley Barnes secured the triumph for his club when playing against Hull City. Even with this victory, Burnley remains at the bottom of the English League having only been able to snatch 1 triumph out of the 11 league matches which have been played so far.
During the previous transfer window, George Boyd, Nathaniel Chalobah and Michael Keane were some of the signings that Sean Dyche managed to secure but the coach of Burnley has revealed that he wants to add a few more top class players to his squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.
“We’ve brought in players we think can demand and challenge. But we also want to bring in players that, it’s fair to say, it can almost be a given they will improve you.”
Sean Dyche added on stating that some of the players that he wanted to sign during the previous transfer window were earning incredibly wages and it was almost impossible trying to lure them away from the clubs where they were currently playing in.
“Their clubs are far richer, usually because of the owners, asking for astronomical fees. There are three players we were in for, in the Championship, and over £20million were expected for those three. Only one had played in the Premier League!” Sean Dyche continued on.
Tyrone Mings of Ipswich Town is one of the latest players that has attracted the interest of Sean Dyche and a few other Premier League managers including Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho. If some of the wealthy clubs of the English League are willing to launch high bids in order to sign the 21 years old defender of Ipswich Town, it will be incredibly difficult for Sean Dyche to secure some of his January targets.
