It’s been over 1 year since David Beckham confirmed his retirement from playing professional competitive football but the Englishman still continues on being active even when it’s not playing in a pitch.
David Beckham maintains his connections with his former clubs as he took the chance to meet up with some of his former teammates and new arrivals of Real Madrid. The former Manchester United player visited Real Madrid’s training camp in Los Angeles during the recently concluded International Champions Cup and Beckham praised the Colombian James Rodriguez.
David Beckham said: ‘’He’s a great player, he had a great World Cup is a young player who is obviously very talented and he scored for me the best goal of the World Cup’’
One of the projects that Beckham has been trying to accomplish since completing his retirement from playing competitive football has been attempting to bring an MLS expansion team to Miami but this has encountered a series of setbacks which has delayed the team and stadium from being initiated but the Englishman has a high profile figure supporting him as Radamel Falcao revealed his full admiration towards what Beckham wants to accomplish.
“Miami has great potential to have a club. It has a huge Latin American population that is deeply passionate for this sport. I’m an advocate to have a stadium that’s easily accessible to the people, where they can have the opportunity to support their team and I think that David Beckham’s initiative needs to have full support from everyone, because this city deserves it.” The Colombian Radamel Falcao said.
During his playing days at the Santiago Bernabeu, David Beckham was part of the infamous ‘’Los Galacticos’’ team which consisted of world class players such as: Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario, Raul Gonzalez and Luis Figo which is still considered to be one of the best squads of all time.
